Individual Therapy

Scott helps individuals understand their family stories and how they shape us today. Some patterns may be holding you back from what you want and need in life. Scott does this with tools that include: mindfulness-based practice, changing narratives, communication skills, self acceptance, ritual and compassion practice.

Couples Therapy

Scott helps couples of all kinds grow in their relationship, with improved communication, greater intimacy and deeper connection. Working with attachment theory, mindfulness and communication skills, he helps couples grow their love and commitment. Couples can heal trauma, depression, anxiety and addictions to flourish together.

I listen with compassion
to find patterns that no longer serve.

How does
therapy work?

As human beings, we understand stories. Some stories serve us, and some keep us entrenched in patterns that do not serve us. Scott helps his clients understand the stories that form us, and how we might write new stories that help heal, with confidence and peace.

“I felt heard, and I felt seen.
That was a great thing.”

— J., client

What is mindfulness?

Mindfulness is the act of being present in the moment, whatever that moment is.
Try this: close your eyes and notice your breathing.
Now notice your thoughts and feelings as they arise. That's it. Mindfulness is not mysterious.
It's the basic skill of practicing being awake in one's life.

Anxiety, depression, addiction (and other things) are patterns of the mind. It isn't easy to change these patterns, but it is possible. That is the work of mindfulness.
