Scott Bear Don’t Walk,
Licensed Clinical

Having witnessed the effects of trauma over multiple generations, Scott understands how family systems inform our present lives. With insight, space opens for change. Coupled with mindfulness, new ways of being in the world become possible.

A Native American, Scott is a member of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes of Western Montana. His last name, "Bear Don't Walk," refers to the vision quest of his great-grandfather, a tradition in Scott's other tribe, the Apsaalooke. This vision was of a great, aged grizzly bear. Scott's great-great grandfather was a well known healer within the tribe. He considers his work as part of that tradition.

Scott received a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Friends University. As Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist Scott has the highest level of licensure in Kansas. Scott studied at Oxford University and at the Committee on Social Thought at the University of Chicago. Scott has mindfulness training from the Shambhala Mountain Center.
